Smart Process Gating offers efficient solutions for access guarding on conveyor lines. It requires no muting sensors and operates exceptionally reliably.

Smart Process Gating is an innovative technology for access guarding on conveyor lines. Process control takes place here in combination with the system controller. A control signal provided by the PLC and the interruption of the protective field are used as a trigger for bridging to the material transport. Additional sensors are not necessary. This enables an especially space-saving system design while simultaneously providing increased reliability and protection against tampering.

Requirement:
On conveyor lines, access to dangerous areas must be safeguarded. Temporary bridging necessary for material transport. The used sensor system must ensure fault-free operation and have minimal space requirements.

Solution:
Smart Process Gating uses a control signal provided by the PLC and the interruption of the protective field for bridging of the material transport. Additional muting sensors are not necessary. This allows for a very space-saving design of the systems; service calls for readjusting the sensors are eliminated.
